Vanessa Owen produces her work most media. But mainly favouring watercolour and graphite pencil. She is largely self taught. Studying Fine Art to A Level. Vanessa has enjoyed art from a young age. Feeling happiest and most fulfilled when engaged in her art. So pursuing a career in art was inevitable.  She likes to achieve detail, but likes to get a more artistic interpretation look in her paintings. She regularly exhibits in group exhibitions.

She likes to paint or sketch subjects from the natural world. Animals, landscapes and people especially how light interacts which the subjects. Technique and style naturally evolves over time as new approach's are learned.

When commissioned she respects the responsibility given to her. Aiming to produce a work that will be cherished. She feels it is a real privilege to have her work displayed in people's homes, from which they derive pleasure.
